Transparency over trust for both buyers and sellers

Everything you need to know about any sports memorabilia or collectibles can be found on the Sportafi platform, including verification of an item's authenticity, appraisals, audits, records, Insurance, financing, and transactions throughout the life of the item eliminating fraud by creating a tamper-proof audited trail.

New Memorabilia

Step 01

Item is taken to a kiosk at an event.

Step 02

New digital asset is created on Sportafi using the location and blockchain for the time of the event.

Step 03

Biometric registration of the owner, league officials, and/or player added to the record. Biometric confirmation will allow the physical item to be registered as a digital asset.

Step 04

Unique identifier on the real-world object is paired to create a digital asset immutably connecting it to the physical object. For example, something unique and tamper-proof, like an RFID found in NFL footballs, is recorded by the Kiosk and becomes a part of the immutable record.

Step 05

Newly created digital token of the memorabilia is stored on the blockchain in the owner’s wallet and registered under the Sportafi platform.

Step 06

When sold, a percentage of the profits goes to the league, players, and manufacturer of the memorabilia.

Existing Memorabilia

Step 01

Collectible is taken to an authenticating agency with a Sportafi kiosk for authentication process.

Step 02

Item is authenticated through agency and an immutable digital asset is created establishing a record of the authentication, time, and location.

Step 03

Biometrics of authenticator and owner are all recorded and inextricably linked to the digital asset. Biometric confirmation will allow the physical item to be registered as a digital asset.

Step 04

Unique identifier on the real-world object is paired to create a digital asset immutably connected to the physical object. For example, something unique and tamper-proof, like an RFID found in NFL footballs, is recorded by the Kiosk and becomes a part of the immutable record.

Step 05

A digital asset of memorabilia is stored on the blockchain in the owner’s wallet.

Step 06

When sold a percentage of the profits go to the league, players association, and authentication agency.

Any transaction or exchange thereafter should be conducted through the Sportafi mobile app, through the ChainIT platform, or through the Digital Wallet accessible on our website. To sell or buy an item, first it will need to be authenticated on the platform, and then it will be available for purchase in the form of a token in the owner's wallet.

This method of pairing eliminates fraud by creating a tamper-proof audit trail. Authenticating sports memorabilia can be difficult even for the most accomplished collectors. The Sportafi platform takes the guesswork out of authenticating signed footballs, baseballs, and other items. Consumers are already pairing other physical assets like art with NFTs, so why not sports memorabilia, too?
